150cc Upgrade Notes Part Two

Part Two contains extra additional notes on item or accessories that we can use to gain more performance and optimizing setting.

Additional performance item #1
Ignition Coil
Ignition systems do one thing, deliver a spark of several thousand volts to the spark plugs at exactly the right time from a six- or 12-volt battery.

Yamaha Yz125 Ignition Coil.
Part Number: 4SS-82310-00

Part combination withAftermarket CDI & NGK Iridium Spark Plug.
*Notes: Air fuel mixture is recommended to set a little bit more rich than normal.

Additional performance item #2
Clutch System
6 Spring clutch housing with stiffer clutch spring is used to gain more grip pressure on the clutch plate for quicker respond on gear shift and faster acceleration.

Using these 6 spring clutch housing with stiffer clutch spring will make gear shifting upward or downward a lot harder to press and the clutch friction plate would be exhausted quicker. It is recommended to use the stock oem clutch spring with these clutch housing.

*Notes: For durability it is recommended to use the stock clutch housing, alternatively we can add stiffer clutch spring for more grip & clutch pressure.

Additional performance item #3
Carburetor
These are some of the jetting size used & shared by other with 57mm cylinder kit on different carburetor size collected on the net. This is a reference to have an idea where to start from, result may vary on individual setup.

Additional performance item #5
Cylinder Head Valve 22/19
"But I want bigger valves! Mine are too small!" OK, larger valves can help performance and if done right, volumetric efficiency... which helps everything. HP and mileage can both gain from this modification. Even with everything else the same, intake manifold, carburetor (or fuel-injection), cam specs - larger valves make it easier for the engine to breathe. That would require less throttle opening at highway speeds or it can take in more air/fuel mixture at wide open throttle.

Additional item #6
RPM Gauge Meter
It is recommended to install RPM gauge to monitor the engine output so we don’t over revving it or over work the engine.
